This policy explains how Break the Week (“the app”), an iPad app for children published by Abdulrahman Qutaiba (“we”, “us”), handles information.
In short: the app doesn’t collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information or usage data. Nothing you or your child enter ever leaves your iPad.
1. Information we collect
None. The app has no accounts or sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools, no third-party code and no in-app purchases, and it never connects to the internet. We don’t receive any information about you, your child or how the app is used.
2. Information stored only on your iPad
To work, the app saves the following on the device with Apple’s on-device storage:
- your child’s first name or nickname (optional, typed by a grown-up behind the parental gate);
- how your child’s hero looks;
- the Week Planner: the picture stickers chosen for each school day and the family’s weekend plans;
- game progress: blocks broken, gems, trophies, badges, streaks, shop items and weekly history;
- settings: school days and weekend days, holidays, the optional after-school time, and sound, music and voice preferences.
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. It may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of the iPad. Those backups are handled by Apple under your device settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
3. Voice, sounds and device features
Spoken messages (in English or Arabic) come from Apple’s built-in text-to-speech on the device, and all sounds and music are generated on the device. The app doesn’t use the microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos or any other personal data on the iPad, and it doesn’t ask for any of these permissions.
4. Children’s privacy
Break the Week is made for children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (as defined by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA) or children under 16 (as defined by the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). A parental gate (a multiplication question) protects the Parent Zone and the name entry. The app contains no ads, no purchases and no links to websites or social networks.
5. Deleting information
Parent Zone → Progress → Reset all progress erases gems, trophies, badges, purchases and history. Deleting the app from the iPad removes all of its data.
6. Your rights
We don’t hold any data about you or your child, so there’s nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. All of the app’s data stays on your device, under your control.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above. If a future version of the app ever collects information, we’ll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version is released.
